These small frogs can lay 4,500 eggs in one breeding season and yet, these poor guys are currently endangered. It relies on its environment for food but they are victims of loss of habitat. Chytrid Fungus Disease is a major problem that these guys face and other things such as water pollutants and wild predators. You can visit these guys at Werribee Zoo as they have a wild population that is protected in the zoo. This is a fantastic initiative taken by the zoo and hopefully it goes a long way in to ensuring the security of these guys.
