This a critically low shrub (half a meter in height) is native to Australia and was only rediscovered in 1999 around the South Australian town of Laura. It has small yellow flowers with grey felted bracts (specialized leaf).

This little shrub is under threat in South Australia from weed invasion, grazing from introduced herbivores and land use such as chemical drift and roadside disturbance.

What can we do to assist? One way is to keep an eye out, if you think you've spotted this species please contact your local agencies. The other of course is too raise awareness of these issues... and you can do that by directing friends and family to our blog!
